Celebrating GCSE Success as Gable Hall Students Reach New Heights of Achievement”

Teachers, staff and parents are celebrating significantly improved GCSE outcomes for Year 11 students at Gable Hall as the results are published.  The school’s Principal, Gary Lewis said ‘once again, these successes stand as a testament to the unwavering commitment shown by both students and staff at our school. Mr Lewis went on to say, “I’d like to offer huge congratulations to all GSCE students at Gable Hall School, who have worked incredibly hard. I’m so pleased that their determination and desire to learn has paid off. Thank you to all the staff who have supported students throughout these challenging times to achieve such impressive results.

I would like to emphasise that these achievements are a result of the school's continuous improvements and dedication to academic excellence.

We are deeply proud of their achievements and grateful for the unwavering support from families and our committed staff at Gable Hall who provided exceptional support and education to our young people."

This year at Gable Hall School, 59% of students achieved a Grade 4 or better in both English and Maths; 76% achieved a Grade 4 or better in English (with 57% achieving a Grade 5 or better). In Maths, 64% of pupils achieved a Grade 4 or better (with 43% achieving a Grade 5 or better). All figures are a good improvement on the previous academic year.

Historically, Gable Hall has demonstrated excellence in the Performing & Creative Arts with this year being no exception with Drama, Dance, Music, Food and Art all achieving impressive outcomes. Other notable outcomes this year were in Biology, History, Statistics and Media Studies

Mr Lewis who leaves the school at the end of this term expressed profound pride in the Year 11 cohort's diligent efforts, resulting in their well-deserved GCSE grades. “I would like to thank the teachers and heads of department for their unwavering support. Witnessing the students' transformation within the Gable Hall community was a privilege. Congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 2024 on their future endeavours”.

Georgina Clark, the Chair of Ortu Federation said, “these results continue the improving trend we have witnessed in the last few years as everyone has come together to drive improvements and establish a culture of excellence. Ortu trustees are proud that strong foundations have been establish upon which the Mossbourne Federation can continue to build”.  

Gable Hall School will become a part of the Mossbourne Federation on October 1st 2024.
