Remembrance Day at Gable Hall School remains an enduring tradition, serving as a poignant reminder to honour the sacrifices of those who have served our nation. This year, on Monday, November 11th, the entire school community came together in a solemn and moving service.

A special thank you goes out to Mr. Strickland and Mr. Russell for their leadership in coordinating the cadets ceremony. Their dedication ensured that our students could confidently lead the remembrance parade and lay the wreath on behalf of the school community - a truly meaningful gesture. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Perry, who delivered the Ode of Remembrance with respect and eloquence, leaving a profound impact on everyone in attendance. Additionally, we would like to thank our Vice-Chair of Governors, Mr. Ed Rogers, who represented the governors with great respect and dignity.

This collective effort made Remembrance Day 2024 at Gable Hall School not only a powerful commemoration but a vivid reminder of the values and traditions that unite our school community.

Mr. Cooper, Principal of Gable Hall School, expressed his deep appreciation for the ceremony, which was marked by thoughtfulness and respect. He observed the heartfelt remembrance displayed by students as they paid tribute to those who have courageously defended our freedoms and our democratic way of life. Mr. Cooper emphasised the importance of never forgetting these sacrifices made on our behalf.

In a touching statement, Mr. Cooper shared, "We will always remember the enormous sacrifices made by those who protect our freedoms every day. Today, we unite to honour the fallen from across the world who gave their lives so that we could live in freedom."
